Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson Both lawyers. When she was a kid she was enrolled in at the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma had a dream to become an actor from the age of aged six. She was enrolled at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting school with part-time courses. From the age of 10 she was involved and performed the main role in numerous Stagecoach Productions and School Plays. The casting process began in 1999 to cast Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered as a casting representative by her Oxford drama instructor. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe that they had all been through eight straight auditions. Emma's first appearance on the big screen came in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone that was released in the year 2001. It set records on its opening and weekend ticket revenues, and was the highest-grossing film of 2001. Critics gave high praise to the film, particularly the young performers. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her outstanding performance. Emma got five nominations in recognition of her exceptional performance. In the end, she received the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actress of a Film.
